A tip-scanning closed loop atomic force microscope. The instrument to be capable of imaging in standard modes in air and liquid including contact, tapping, fast force curve based imaging (PeakForce or similar). The microscope to have the capability to carry out force volume, phase imaging, force spectroscopy, and to have specific software and/or hardware to enable nanomanipulation and nanolithography.
