Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) has secured funding from Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership (DLEP) to build a new state-of-the art incubation facility to support and develop digital and creative industries throughout Dorset.
Through this tender the University is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced contract to manufacture, supply and erect the Contemporary and bespoke Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) structure.
CRAB Studio has been appointed as architects to design the Innovation Studio and have sought to develop a building which is both functional and inspiring. AKTII are the structural engineers for the project and have designed and engineered the cross laminated structure. Prefabricated CLT will form the main construction material.
PT Projects are the University's Quantity Surveyors and Contract Administrators for this project and are assisting the University in this procurement process.
The successful contractor will be appointed as a domestic Sub-Contractor (yet to be selected) under the terms of the JCT Standard Form of Building Contract Without Quantities and With Contractor Design
