GB-Sea: Tender for surveys, design, manufacture and installation of flood resilience measures to residential and commercial premises

Southend on Sea Borough Council wish to appoint a maximum of 3 contractors for implementation of flood resilience improvements to flood vulnerable properties, under the Government’s Repairs and Renewals Grant scheme.

The project involves the following:-

• Surveying new and retrospective application addresses to assess resilience requirements or validate existing installations
• Design, provide and install approved resilience measures to, potentially, 300 individual properties across the borough. (Current number of applications 113)

The programme is expected to commence in early July, and works must be completed and invoiced for by 18th September 2015. The contract will be managed on behalf of Southend Borough Council by AECOM, consultants.

The Works are proposed to be let using an Open Procedure under the JCT Agreement for Minor Building Works with Contractors Design, 2011.

Please submit your request to tender no later than 10.00am on Friday 12th June 2015. The tenders will be sent out on Friday 12th June 2015 with a return date of Tuesday 30th June 2015.

The returned tenders will be considered against an evaluation ratio of 60% for price, 40% for quality.
