Asbestos Removal

Asbestos removal will be determined by a risk assessment of the material. A standard HSG264 format of survey data will be analysed by Client and the decision to remove asbestos will only be approved by Client.

An asbestos removal team should be available to provide full enclosure to removal areas as required, to remove asbestos containing materials and to complete air monitoring and to leave area with safe exposure levels.

The schedule of rates should be priced to cover all costs including all personnel required, travel, expenses, safe working systems, removal, air monitoring and disposal of asbestos waste. The rate provided should be an all-inclusive rate to cover all works required during the removal process.

Non-licensed works, attendance will be determined by the CA and the agreed dates uploaded to the Asbestos Management Database, which the contractor must be adhered too, unless otherwise agreed by the CA.

Licensed works must be completed within 17 days, unless agreed otherwise by the CA.

The contractor must send written correspondence to the residents confirming their attendance and the removal date must be agreed with the resident and CA, letters to be uploaded to the Asbestos Management Database.

This timescale will include for a site-specific method statement to be produced by the contractor and approved by Client prior to works commencing.
