description
This is a market engagement event for the new iteration of the local authority improvement adviser preferred supplier list to be held on the 10th of March at 15:00.
Local authority improvement advisers are appointed by the Department of Education to assist the improvement processes of local authorities in need of support. These advisers are experienced Children's Services leaders who use their expertise to deliver better outcomes for children and families.
Advisers work closely with the regional case leads for the Department of Education, playing a vital role in improving the quality of Children's Services across the country.
Advisers are currently primarily selected via open competition from the Dynamic Procurement System. There is also an existing preferred supplier list that ranks a small pool of advisers based on an overall criteria score. DfE are then able to directly award individual procurements to the highest ranked available supplier on the list.
This new iteration of the Preferred Supplier List is intended to allow for a more bespoke process, selecting the most suitable adviser for the individual needs of the local authority.
We also want to expand the pool of available suppliers, encouraging new entrants and retaining existing advisers.
This market engagement event will give interested suppliers information on the preferred supplier list and the application process. A short presentation will be delivered before opportunity is given for a Q&A.
The closing date to express interest in this market engagement event is the 9th of March at 12 noon.
