Leicestershire County Council will be looking to undertake a procurement process to identify and appoint service providers to provide services for adults in Leicestershire who live their lives with impaired sight or combined sight and hearing impairment. These services may be divided into lots. The services are anticipated to covers support and rehabilitation, to enable service users to live in the community with the maximum level of independence. This will include ensuring that processes and procedures are in place to produce and maintain a register of adults in Leicestershire which comply with the relevant aspects of The Care Act 2014 and The Care and Support (Registers) Regulations 2014. The services may also include, a specialist library service, assessment of service users' needs, provision of relevant advice and/or supportive equipment.
The purpose of this notice is to enable interested parties to engage with the Council to discuss the services currently available in the market, options regarding the structure of the procurement and the anticipated direction of future market developments.
