This contract is for a Workplace Health Programme.
The contract covers the following key elements:
- Collaboration with the regional North East Better Health at Work Award (BHAWA) verifying body, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) Northern, to deliver the Better Health at Work Award in County Durham in accordance with the service delivery requirements detailed below in this specification.
- Provision of a programme of work to provide information, advice, guidance, training and support to local public, private and voluntary sector organisations who want to improve workplace and workforce health (including those organisations who do not want to take part in the North East BHAWA).
- Provision of insight and input (where required) to progress local and regional developments relating to good workplace health, good employment, and wider economic inclusion (i.e. Community Wealth Building, any wider workplace health alliance and North East devolution).
The expected start date for the proposed contract is 1st March 2024.
The expected end date for the proposed contract is 28th February 2026.
The proposed contract is to be let with an option to extend for a further 2 periods of 12 months each from the actual end date subject to funding and commissioner approval.
The Council believes that the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) applies to this contract.
