WP3138 - Youth Support - Targeted Youth Work Grant

This programme is about delivering Targeted Youth Work through the identification of early intervention and targeted youth work support for the most vulnerable young people in Walsall. The priorities below reflect the Children and Young People’s Plan and are consistent with the needs of the wards in Walsall. However, the balance of need will vary.

1. Fewer young people offending or engage in Anti-Social Behaviour

2. Contributing to the Not in Education Employment or Training (NEET Agenda)

3. Increase young people’s participation in community cohesion

4. Supporting and providing services to children and young people who are identified as vulnerable i.e. young carers, looked after

The service provider must address in a co-ordinated way, these priorities and meet the identified needs of the wards they are submitting an application for, with a focus on the age range of 9-19 (up to 24 years; with LDD) with proposals aimed at reaching 25% of the youth population for the ward.

We require proposals that have an evidence base for successfully delivering projects and improving outcomes for children & young people, however we will be utilising the use of the Outcome Star for the purpose of this programme.
