GB-Colchester: Digitise Historic Microfiche Documents

Colchester Borough Council require a suitably experienced supplier who can digitise approximately 450,000 historic microfiche/aperture cards, that have been used by our Planning Services department.

The requirements will include:

•Scan and index each card to application number

•Quote for documents to be scanned at both 200 dpi and 300 dpi resolution •Reduction Ratio at A0 to avoid pixilation

•Secure delivery of data back to us on an external hard drive (in format to be agreed) •Secure storage to allow for quality check and sign off

•Secure shredding at agreed time

•Test batch required before go ahead confirmed.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
