Notice of Market Engagement for In-Cell TV and Digital Learning Services
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) is seeking to gather data on available technologies similar to the current in-cell TV and digital learning services provided in prisons. This initiative aims to inform our decision on the possible routes to market (should a procurement result from this activity) and educate ourselves on other similar available technologies.
Objective: Our goal is to explore and understand the market for in-cell TV and digital learning services that can provide educational, motivational, and informational content to prisoners. We are particularly interested in technologies that can enhance the current offerings and support the personal and professional development of prisoners.
Scope: The survey will focus on:
| - | Educational and digital learning services. |
| - | Additional features or functionalities that are not currently provided. |
| - | Cost and support requirements for implementing these services in a prison environment. |
| - | Technical and accessibility considerations to ensure the service is inclusive for all prisoners. |
To initiate this process, the MoJ will send out a market engagement survey questions after the closing of this notice on the 8th of April 2025.
The survey will focus on gathering information around:
| 1. | Service Provision and Capabilities: |
| 2. | Cost and Support: |
| 3. | Technical and Accessibility Considerations: |
| 4. | Compliance and Standards: |
| 5. | Innovation and Future Enhancements: |
