description

Bahrain's Economic Development Board, a government investment promotion agency, has approached the British Embassy (BE) in Bahrain to support them in undertaking a healthcare market study to expand the existing value proposition in the healthcare sector. This will assess current public and private provision through a report to identify market gaps, future demand, patient and sector requirements, the need for specialist facilities. The report will also provide recommendations for new hospital projects including size, specialisms, geographic suitability, segmentation, patient demographics, regional demand, suitability for international partnerships, required investment and potential costs. This study should also include a financial modelling sub-section related to UK companies, as a way of facilitating future value propositions. The Implementer will conduct a study visit to Bahrain for up to 2 weeks, followed by extensive research to produce a market study report that provides an evaluation of the current private healthcare provision, market gaps, and new areas for the development of new hospitals, as well as an assessment and recommendations on healthcare growth requirements e.g. to boost healthcare tourism, provide specialisations, etc.
