SCC -Creative Solutions for Complex Individuals. SCC will be inviting initial proposals which will achieve ambitious outcomes through innovative ways of working with and for individuals who have difficulty obtaining and sustaining a tenancy due to their complex needs including mental health, drug and alcohol problems. Outcomes will include
- Successful transition for clients in existing supported accommodation to a new model of service.• Ongoing sustainable solutions which enable positive, healthy, independent lives.
- Strong relationship with housing agencies and landlords which reduce concerns and sustain tenancies.
- a "housing first" element with facilitation/ coordination of individual flexible step-up / step-down, wrap-around support.
- effective joint working with LAs, NHS, Specialist Services, VCS etc.
- Work with and educate partners across the system to develop capacity and confidence to respond effectively to complex needs. Following a soft market testing event for providers, Somerset County Council, Adults and Health Commissioning and Public Health are notifying the market that a tender process will be advertised in late July, early August following the valuable feedback received.
SCC will advertise the tender opportunity via the Supplying the South West Portal.
This tender will be run under the Light Touch Regime and as such will contain multiple stages including a discussion stage, all details of the process will be set out in the tender documentation. Timescales are extremely tight and therefore, this notice serves to alert the market to the upcoming tender.
