Review, Update and Reformat "An Introduction to System Safety Management in the MOD" - The White Book

The requirement consists of two specific elements:

Initially the White Book shall be reviewed to identify any areas which do not reflect current practices, organisational arrangements, standards, terminologies or any other aspect which relates to system safety management. Where shortcomings are identified, suitable revisions are to be developed and text updated accordingly.

Concurrently, the content of the White Book is to be reviewed and split into three parts which align with the three modules which make up the System Safety suite of courses:

Part 1 - System Safety in Action

Part 2 – System Safety Process Management

Part 3 – System Safety Practitioner

(QSEP will provide a copy of the Training Objectives for each course. The contractor will map these to show how they are captured in each part of the revised White Book. Where the current White Book does not capture elements of the training courses, the contractor shall develop suitable content. Any additional content, such as safety management tools and techniques which are already in the White Book but not in the training courses, shall be retained.)

The final deliverables shall retain the current format (A5 hard copy publication) and style of the White Book, with visual appeal maximised through the use of graphics. Wherever possible, existing text is to be retained. One hard copy and one electronic camera copy are to be delivered.
