Additional information: This contract is awarded for 12 months, with the option (with the commissioners) to extend for a further 12 months to allow for the commissioner to finalise future primary care commissioning intentions, including this service, and to ensure service provision for the registered population from the end of the previous contract.

This contract was awarded via a competitive procedure where the commissioners restricted expressions of interest and bids to providers who had expressed an interest in the originally advertised procurement under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, which did not yield any bids (OJEU notices: http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:8525-2017:TEXT:EN:HTML&src=0, and http://ted.europa.eu/udl?uri=TED:NOTICE:61872-2017:TEXT:EN:HTML&src=0), and current service providers (any GMS / PMS or APMS contract holders) in the Hinckley and Bosworth locality.
