UK Shared Business Services Ltd, acting as the Contracting Authority, is putting into place a Contract on behalf of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) .

BAS is looking for a supplier capable of providing Oceanic Floats that will be deployed in the Southern Ocean(s) for 2-4 years to capture sub-surface data. .

The required Finescale Velocity measurements will be recorded at depths between 5M & 2000M at 5M intervals with the data (and GPS location) being transmitted via the Iridium system. .

Each float will also require an Ice Guard - which is appropriate for light sea-ice - along with a shipping crate for transportation to the Southern Ocean(s)

Your e-mail must clearly state : the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for ; the name of the registered Bidder ; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email.

Crown Commercial will process the email and then enable the bidder to access the procurement online via the e-Sourcing Suite.

The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done.
