description
City and Hackney CCG are looking to commission up to four providers of minor surgery services to operate across the four geographical areas (quadrants) of the boroughs. Each provider must have at least one venue for delivering services within the quadrant or quadrants that they are awarded.
Service:
The service will consist of providing minor surgical procedures and other low risk procedures to patients referred by local GPs. These will mainly include those procedures provided under GMS enhanced services but can also include vasectomy and other approved procedures.
Contract Terms:
The Contract will be subject to the NHS standard contract for a period of 3 years with an option of a 2 year extension and the total estimated contract value for each Lot for the duration of the contract (3+2) is from £94k to £625k.
Contracts will be offered on a quadrant LOT basis – each quadrant having a minimum of one venue (subject to provider interest). This is aimed to encourage services to be close to patients and allow a degree of choice for the patient to where they attend for their procedure.
Lot 1: North East Lot 2: South East Lot 3: South West Lot 4: North West
Please refer to the Service Specification and memorandum of Information for more details (available via the portal)
Payment will be by a local tariff on actual activity provided to patients.
The estimated start date will be October 2016 for new providers.
No guarantee of activity can be provided and estimates are based on historical service activity across the four quadrants.
Additional information: The contract will be for duration of 3 years.
