description

Demand forecasting, in this context, is an estimation of the level of licence applications expected to be received in a period. It is fundamental in that licensing demand drives a high percentage of the total Security Industry Authority (SIA) income but is outside the organisation’s control. It is therefore vital that as an organisation, we have a better understanding of the drivers of licence applications and a good estimation of the volumes of applications expected in the future.

Therefore, the SIA envisioned to employ the services of an external organisation, specialised in market research and study to undertake research to improve the SIA’s understanding of licences in the Private Security industry.
