We are looking for someone with a passion for Swindon's business growth, good local network connections, excellent understanding of the digi-tech industry and proven organisational project and event management skills to turn this great idea with some sponsorship interest, into a fully-funded long term campaign to support development of the TechSwindon industry cluster, with small and large events and promotion of key messages.
The Project aims are:
| • | to work with partners to develop the local digi-tech cluster; |
| • | to showcase Swindon's digi-tech capability to attract inward investment and a pipeline of additional skilled staff. |
Activity will include working with the Swindon Borough Council Business & Economy Team and a small Switch On To Swindon working party to plan and deliver the project and campaign; liaise with local digi-tech support programmes and the industry to encourage collaboration across the industry. The Coordinator must sign-up financial contributors, and plan and promote a 12 month campaign culminating in a major event.
The Coordinator contract is suitable for a self-employed individual or company and will have flexible hours to fit with the programme.
Swindon Borough Council will host and manage the contract, which is funded by locally-based companies as part of a TechSwindon sponsorship package.
