description

Highways England (HE) is looking to set up a contract for provision of technical support on structures with substandard components as identified by HE policy CS470, Management of Substandard Structures. The task is to continue with the management of this risk recently commissioned under.

This task will look to take invested knowledge, any new knowledge acquired during task 1-1031 to seamlessly manage existing asset risks that will traverse the outgoing SPATs1 Framework and incoming SPatS2 Framework and provide satisfactory risk mitigation.

The successful contractor will also be required to work with AD10 staff, Design Services Contractor (DSC), Safety Engineering and Standards (SES) and 3rd part data providers who are now contracting directly with HE, in handing over knowledge acquired. This role will include 3rd party data interpretation with recommendations drawn for HE to act upon in maintaining the safe and operational use of these structures and the Strategic Road Network they carry. The task is to run throughout financial year 2021/22, reporting monthly on progress/finance and adhoc as the need arises or risk dictate.

The asset knowledge, skills and expertise required for this task are discussed later in this work scope package.
