Market Engagement Event for the Provision of Dental Services in Bulwell and Bilborough for NHS England (North Midlands) – Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire

Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS England (North Midlands) are inviting suitably qualified providers to deliver Dental Services in both Bulwell and Bilborough.

The following Lots are available:

Lot 1: Provision of Dental Services in Bulwell.

Estimated contract value of £401,599 (per annum) with a service commencement date of 1st October 2016.

Lot 2: Provision of Dental Services in Bilborough.

Estimated Contract value of £292,399 (per annum) with a service commencement date of 1st November 2016

Both Lots will be awarded a Personal Dental Services (PDS) Agreement based on a 5 year contract length from the service commencement date (Lot 1 – 30th September 2021 and Lot 2 – 31st October 2021). Please note each Lot will be awarded as a separate contract.

The successful provider will need to demonstrate that they can deliver continuously high-quality services and will be responsive to the needs of the local populations. The providers will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the high-quality services required. These services must be provided by Dentists and Dental Healthcare Professionals and the provider will be expected to:

• Deliver primary care dental services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive.
• Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment.
• Have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction.

This opportunity will be open to the entire market, including the current providers. It is intended that the tender will be published on the 29th March 2016. As this tender is for existing services, the services must be fully operational by the respective contract start dates in order to ensure continuity of care for patients.

NHS England (North Midlands) are inviting interested providers to attend a Market Engagement Event which will be held on Monday 14th March 2016, 10:00-12:00 in Nottingham (venue to be confirmed post 7th March 2016).

The event will cover the following:-

• An overview of the services to be provided.
• Details of the contract type, length and particular conditions.
• An outline of the procurement process and the anticipated timeline

Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than 2 persons per organisation. Further information will be circulated to delegates once the registration process closes on the 7th March 2016.

An expression of interest in this market event will not automatically entitle involvement in any future procurement exercise. Any procurement conducted as a result of this event will be advertised separately and all organisations wanting to participate will need to respond to the procurement advertisement as and when it is published.
