description
This is a Prior Information Notice (PIN)/Request for Information (RFI) published on behalf of NHS Tameside & Glossop CCG (CCG). The purpose of this PIN/RFI is to gauge market interest and conditions for the provision of Community Cardiology Diagnostics Services.
The CCG propose to extend the current community cardiology diagnostics pathway in order to procure two separate community diagnostic services:
- 12-lead ECG’s: Provision of 12-lead ECG equipment within the 41 practices within Tameside & Glossop; a facility to securely transfer data; provide external interpretation of the results by qualified cardiac clinicians; update the original referrer with the interpretation of the results; provide training to primary care to allow them to operate the equipment/transfer the results; provide results that will be suitable for use by secondary care clinicians.
- 24hr / 7 day ECG’s: Provision of 24hr ambulatory ECG equipment; logistics for a “locality model” to be implemented including arranging appointments; a facility to securely transfer data; provide external interpretation of the results by qualified cardiac clinicians; update the original referrer with the interpretation of the results; provide training to primary care to allow them to operate the equipment/transfer the results; provide results that will be suitable for use by secondary care clinicians.
The CCG Commissioners are seeking responses from viable providers who can work effectively across Primary Care. Assurance of competence, quality, and innovation and safety standards are required.
Potential providers are requested to respond to the following questions:
- Please provide details of any experience you have in delivering/managing similar services.
- From when do you have capacity to deliver the contract from. Please provide brief details on current and future capacity.
- Please identify your current organisation structure (public limited company, limited company, partnership, sole trader, charity, other public sector organisation, etc).
Potential providers wishing to express an interest in participating in the RFI and any tender process should do so by, emailing their interest to Andrew_payne@nhs.net by 4pm on 5th May 2015.
Please note that an expression of interest in delivering one or both of the Community Cardiology Diagnostics Services is not a tender response. An expression of interest is no indication of a commitment to participate in the tender process nor does it infer any special status on those providers who do submit an interest.
Potential providers who do not express an interest at this stage will still be able to apply in the future. All responses will be treated in confidence. This expression of interest does not commit the CCG to undertake the procurement of the Community Cardiology Diagnostics Services and the CCG has a right to withdraw the notice.
