description
This project will cover the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of a new facility for the temporary storage of plant and equipment.
The current basis for the facilities is a purpose built building with a total gross internal floor area of approximately 168m² in a single storey configuration.
The tenderer’s attention is drawn to the fact that the surrounding buildings around which the works are to be undertaken will remain occupied for the duration of the contract works. In many of these areas, sensitive work will be in progress. It is therefore imperative that noise and disturbance generally are kept to an absolute minimum and that arisings from the project are not allowed to travel into the occupied areas. Access to the site is also restricted. Please refer to the project details and constraints within the Works Information for further information
The tenderer should take note that they are required to thoroughly review the proposed concept design by Public Health England by evaluating the supplied drawings and scope of works and confirm its acceptability. Furthermore the tenderer is required to compile additional data to complete the project brief to enable the design to proceed, then provide technical designs in sufficient detail to coordinate components and elements. The tenderer is required to complete the technical designs including general arrangements, detailed drawings, calculations, specifications and schedules in order to provide a fully functional facility that is in line of the employer’s requirements and to the prescribed scope of works.
