Market Engagement Webinar for Special Care Dentistry Services for Suffolk

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement - East of England (referred to as the Commissioner) would like to inform you of an opportunity to provide services for Special Care Dentistry for Adults and Children referral Services and Dental Public Health services across Suffolk. The new service is expected to start on 1st June 2020.

NHS England and NHS Improvement - East of England would like to invite potential Bidders to a Market Engagement Webinar taking place on Monday 2nd September 2019 at 11:00am. Please register your interest in attending this webinar by 10:00am on Friday 30th August 2019, by following the instructions given in section VI below. Places are strictly limited therefore reservations are limited to no more than two people per organisation.

Presentations will be shared with potential bidders detailing the background of the procurement and hints and tips on completing submissions.

Special Care Dentistry is defined as being "concerned with the improvement of the oral health of individuals and groups in society who have a physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, medical, emotional or social impairment or disability or, more often, a combination of these factors. The speciality focuses on adolescents and adults only and includes the important period of transition as the adolescent moves into adulthood. The speciality was formally recognised by the General Dental Council (GDC) in 2008" (Guides for Commissioning Dental Specialities - Special Care Dentistry, NHSE, September 2015).
