In August 2017, Hackney Council submitted a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund's Parks for People programme to fund the Abney Park Restoration Project. In December 2017, the HLF awarded the Abney Park Restoration Project a first round pass. Hackney Council now wishes to appoint a suitably qualified and highly experienced Design Team to lead on the Development Phase of the Abney Park Restoration Project. The deliverables are:
- Costed designs developed to RIBA Work Stage 3
- A Business Plan
- An Activity Plan
- A Fundraising Strategy with fundraising targets
- A Management and Maintenance Plan
- A successful planning application
- A Consultation and Engagement Strategy
- To prepare and submit an HLF
