description

This task comprises using the additional information gathered as part of BHLB 40t assessment and outputs from previous SPATs Tasks and existing structural model produced for that assessment, to investigate further into residual steady state issues and formulate any interim/future solutions to those issues that safeguard BHLB. Provide Highways England with a rationale for dealing with those issues in a planned and programmed way based on priorities/risks and as part of the yearly bid cycle and inform the 1989 version of the BHLB Maintenance Manual. Ultimately, keep all running lanes open through planned interventions during peak flow periods.

To determine whether the Cat' 3 spans can be jacked under live load without peak time restrictions and any interim strengthening and provide loading information for BBMM's jacking design.

To provide an independent check of BBMM's jacking design for Cat 2 and 3 spans.
