description

The National Composites Centre (NNC1) requires an Extension to it's facility at Emersons Green in Bristol to accommodate industry leading aerospace members requirements. To facilitate this requirement an extension in the form of Workshop 4 (W4) is required to provide the manufacturing and processing space necessary. This includes Member specific space and shared space.

To facilitate this requirement an extension in the form of Workshop 4 (W4) is required to provide the manufacturing and processing space necessary for the WoT programme. This includes Member specific space and shared space.

The tooling suite for each member will comprise 5 large tools weighing up to 20 tonnes each and with a footprint of 20m x 5m, all with specific functions and hence the space required to manoeuvre and work with these tools is considerable. The tools will be moved using air skates to allow them to be manoeuvred easily into restricted areas.

Workshop 4 must be physically connected to NCC 1 and 2 with easy access to machinery in Workshop 3 to allow the tools to be moved between processes in a consistent, controlled internal environment.

The tender pack will be launched under the OJEU restricted process on the Bravo solutions portal to 5 suppliers around the 18/06/2018 after evaluation of the responses to the Selection Questionnaire.
