Sandwell Children's Trust (The Trust) is seeking to engage multiple providers to undertake a variety of short break activities for children and young people with disabilities.
A short break is part of a continuum of services which supports disabled children and their families. The Trust's vision is that throughout the short break offer it will strive to enable disabled children and young people to lead ordinary lives. Disabled children and young people will be able to choose from a full range of services, activities including specialist provision, accessible universal and targeted provision.
The Trust's Short Breaks Programme will be divided into six lots covering an age range of 4-18 years of age. Tenderers should note that the Trust has a maximum available budget of ?555,000 per annum for the contract period. This budget is allocated as follows across six lots:
Lot 1 Personal Assistant Support
Total Allocation: ?210,000
Lot 2 Summer Activities (6 weeks)
Total Allocation: ?115,000 apportioned as follows:
- oSub Criteria A: 4-11 years age range - ?57,500
- oSub Criteria B: 11-18 years age range - ?57,500
Lot 3 Holiday Activities (excluding summer)
Total Allocation: ?70,000 apportioned as follows:
- oSub Criteria A: 4-11 years age range - ?35,000
- oSub Criteria B: 11-18 years age range - ?35,000
Lot 4 Saturday Activities - ?50,000
Total Allocation: ?50,000 apportioned as follows:
- oSub Criteria A: 4-11 years age range - ?25,000
- oSub Criteria B: 11-18 years age range - ?25,000
Lot 5 After School Activities
Total Allocation: ?50,000 apportioned as follows:
- oSub Criteria A: 4-11 years age range - ?25,000
- oSub Criteria B: 11-18 years age range - ?25,000
Lot 6 Family Activities
Total Allocation: ?60,000
