description

A series of pharmacology studies are required to study the cardiovascular effects of physostigmine and hyoscine in the innervated Langendorff perfused heart preparation. These studies will define the effects of physostigmine and hyoscine on cardiac parameters including (but not limited to) heart rate, ECG parameters and contractility. Performance of these studies is required in accordance with an agreed study plan which is compliant with Dstl’s Quality Master document. An established publication record in peer reviewed journals utilising the innervated Langendorff preparation is a mandatory pre-requisite in order to demonstrate the minimum level of expertise required to fulfil the Authorities requirements.
