UK Shared Business Services Ltd, acting as the Contracting Authority, is putting into place a contract of behalf of the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) .

A Multi-Corer system is required by BAS scientific work involving the collection of both biological material & geological sediment. .

The proposed system must be highly capable & proven to work in the harsh environment within which BAS operates.

Further Multi-Corer Systems may be required by BAS in coming years, hence within this tender opportunity BAS wishes to enter into a Contract under which it has the option to purchase an additional 2-3 units over the duration of the Contract. .

The key operational capabilities of the proposed multi-corer system are :

• A Modular Framework Construction
• Reliable Deployment to 6000m
• Provision of 12 sample tubes, each being at least 60cm in length & 10cm in diameter
• Have the ability to adjust penetration depth of the core tubes
• Delivery of the Multi-Corer system before the end of April 2017

Your e-mail must clearly state : the name and reference for the procurement you wish to register for ; the name of the registered Bidder ; and the name and contact details for the registered individual sending the email.

Crown Commercial will process the email and then enable the bidder to access the procurement online via the e-Sourcing Suite.

The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done.
