description

Newquay Cornwall Airport has a requirement to replace its airport operational management system.

Newquay Cornwall Airport (IATA: NQY, ICAO: EGHQ) is the main commercial Airport for Cornwall and is located 4 NM (7.4 km; 4.6 mi) northeast of Newquay on Cornwall's north coast. Newquay Cornwall Airport was previously a military base formerly known as RAF St. Mawgan before the transition from military to civilian status in December 2008.

The land where Newquay Cornwall Airport is situated is owned by Cornwall Council and controlled by Cornwall Airport Limited (CAL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cornwall Council. Due to the airports geographical position within the UK, the airport acts as a significant gateway to and from Cornwall for both the business and tourism sector. In relation to business, the airport offers daily connections to destinations across the UK that may not be achievable by other transport means within the same day. The airport handles over 20,000 movements covering schedule, military, training and business and general aviation traffic.
