The Community Equipment service aims to deliver the following elements for clients and practitioners:Competitive purchase of community equipmentA loan system for standard equipment itemsDelivery, installation, collection, repair and maintenance and refurbishment of equipmentEfficient and cost effective loan system, with collection and re-use of equipmentAn efficient recycling of special equipmentExcellent customer serviceInnovative and flexible service which responds to service user needsClear and easy to use web-based ordering and authorisation systemThe Council expects service development to be a key part of the new service and the successful provider is expected to have the capacity to develop the service within the following areas:Wheelchair Service for long term use;Assistive TechnologyPhysiotherapy Equipment;Nursing EquipmentContinence products and Continence related services;Home Improvement type servicesRetail shop
