This Procurement is for a new Tier 2 Community Dermatology Service in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The main outcomes of the Service will be:
| • | Equitable access and treatment of dermatology patients presenting with dermatological problems within different levels of deprivation. |
| • | Increased overall patient's satisfaction with Dermatology Services. |
| • | Provider services closer to patients' home. |
| • | Improved communication between community, secondary and primary care services provider, specialist clinicians and Primary care. |
| • | Improved quality of care within primary and community settings regardless of provider. |
| • | Increased patient choice. |
| • | Improved access to advice and information, increased knowledge and awareness of the management of dermatology for patients. |
| • | Reduced waiting time for patient's access to specialist care in the community. |
| • | Improve access to advice and information with increased knowledge and awareness of the self-management of their condition. |
The contract duration will be for 3 years, which is intended to run from 1st of November 2018 until 31st October 2021 with the possibility of one extension of up to 2 years (31st October 2023). The anticipated, maximum total contract value (including any potential extensions) is £3,605,441 with an annual value estimated at £ 721,088.
