Develop a noise assessment methodology for the HE Traffic Officer Service (TOS) to meet HE's legal responsibilities under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, including noise measurements of TOS exposure during attendance at different type of incident scenes, using noise personal dosimetry and measurements of noise during typical incidents, ensuring that the method used does not result in unnecessary safety risk to the TOS, the public using the SRN or to the Noise Consultant(s) carrying out the noise assessment work.

Assess the potential risks to hearing for HE personnel, due to the nature of their work, this is complex and will involve a combination of expertise and experience across a number of noise measurement and evaluation techniques and technologies.

To produce a noise assessment technical report that is also in a format that can be used for all future updates to the noise assessment.
