NHS 111 Telephony Service

The East Midlands Commissioners joined together to commission an NHS 111 Telephony Service recognising the need and benefits of an at scale collaborative approach. In coming together to commission an NHS 111 Telephony Service for a population of around 4.4m with project growth to circa 4.7m by 2021; The NHS 111 Telephony Service in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire will ensure patients have • Increased awareness of the benefits of phoning 111 as a smart call to make • Appropriate levels of care to close calls first time • Access to advice, care and treatment 24 hours a day 7 days a week from appropriately trained and qualified staff • Rapid access to an appropriate clinician • Rapid access to emergency services • Access to locally based community care • Access to quality Self-care advice and guidance.
