2269/438/JN/COMP/19 Tool Pre-Setting Machine

The University of Sheffield wishes to invite tenders for a Tool Pre-Setting Machine on behalf of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, Machining Group at Catcliffe, South Yorkshire.

Scope of Requirement

A tool pre-setting machine in its basic form is required to ensure that cutting tool lengths and radii are captured and accounted for prior to any machining activities.

In addition to this, the AMRC requires the capability to inspect and measure the various mechanisms of tool wear induced through machining on cutting tools with a variety of geometries, with minimal user input, for repeatable and reproducible results.
