description
A research service - DCMS is looking for a service provider to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the subsea fibre optic cables sector as it relates to the UK. The scope of the study is primarily focused on but not limited to the following: a)The contribution of subsea fibre optic cables to the UK economy, including the UK economy's reliance on subsea cables;
b)The market, infrastructure and regulatory conditions impacting investment in subsea cables in the UK, including how attractive a destination the UK is considered for new subsea cables;
c)The future of the subsea fibre optic cables maintenance/repair market as it relates to the UK.
The information and analysis obtained through the study is intended to be used to inform prospective future UK Government interventions in this area.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
With regards to Section 9 - Estimated Value of Requirement - please note the DCMS current budget for the contract is in the range £65k to 85k.
