The contract will cover a range of necessary Stoke Newington Library & Town Hall - Roofing, External Fabric Repairs and Associated Works. The work is essential to allow ongoing use of the building, as a place of work, and for commercial hiring’s to continue.
Stoke Newington Town Hall has been subject to moisture ingress and internal damp damage, predominantly arising from the flat roof areas of the Town Hall and Library. In addition, there is considerable brickwork degradation, resulting in loss of brick surface and cracking, to all Town Hall elevations. In addition to the repair works it is proposed to install ladders and fall arrest systems to the overlaid flat roof areas to provide safe access to these areas and allow for improved access for ongoing maintenance.
