description
WWF would like to highlight the positive contribution that 'recovered' UK seas can make to the fight against climate and change (and meeting the UKs 2050 net zero target) and the UK's economy - and the urgent need to take action now to secure the oceans recovery.
Aim: A credible and scientifically robust report, presented in a compelling narrative, which highlights the urgent need to take action to recover the health of the UK seas.
Objectives:
| • | To provide scientific evidence for UK seas to significantly contribute to the fight against climate change |
| • | Provide robust analysis on the economic case for investing in the recovery of the health of UK seas |
| • | Support WWF advocacy for an Ocean Recovery framework by providing scientific evidence we can put to the UK government |
| • | Provide new data that can be used to create new stories for WWF and Sky Ocean Rescue. |
