The purpose of this research is to:
1: Estimate the number of pubs which have been sold on with a restrictive covenant in place ( and specifically since 2009 when the government Consultation was undertaken and recent industry guidance on the use of restrictive covenants has been introduced and observed).
- Identify the impacts of restrictive covenants for a) the community groups /community enterprises and individuals who have purchased the pub and their plans to develop the property.
- Identify, what impact preventing the property being used as a pub has had on the wider community.
