description

The overall aim is to provide evidence that helps implement the GB Plant Biosecurity Strategy, whose emphasis is on: (a) Pre-border activities; (b) At-border activities; (c) Post-border activities; (d) engagement; (e) capability,capacity, skills. The research is directly aligned with these activities and will focus on strategic areas related to new and emerging pests (prevention; detection; control; resilience) as well as more-applied and immediate research addressing priority pests and pathways. The contractor is one of five research parties undertaking the project, the other partners are Fera Science Limited, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, Natural England and Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC)
