Overview of Requirement

As part of the review and in order to meet our statutory duties Bedfordshire CCG and Milton Keynes CCG need to undertake a detailed assessment of projected patient activity by analysing specific patient pathways and projecting those based on the changes proposed. This needs to be done to a detailed view across both the Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, but also more widely across the region.

The requirement includes but is not limited to:

Understand the current approach to patient choice utilising the SUS and/or Health Episode Statistics (HES) data from local commissioners.

Validate the completeness of the data provided, and where necessary triangulate with other data sources such as Ambulance Trust coding data.

Identify appropriate clinical pathways, which are cross representative of the potential changes.

Work with the partners to agree a common methodology and analysis framework for determining patient choice across the chosen pathways.

Utilising collated data a comprehensive clinical activity model should be built which will model the changes against the individual service lines
