description

These works are a continuation of the works previously carried out during 2024/25 under Task Order 170.1 on the DDP Framework. The engineering scope of work applies to FGMSP and PFSP, based on a 70% FGMSP: 30% PFSP split.

The scope of works will be to have full time employment for the engineers and engineering support team to offer mechanical/electrical/admin support and front-line engineering within the Legacy Ponds Plant Maintenance teams. Ensuring the facilities', equipment and areas are safe, functional and meet operations requirements.

The scope will comprise the following:

Plant Support Engineers, Reliability Support Engineers, Mech Support Engineers, Reliability Admin Support, Portal updates/maintenance and red box building totalling 10.25 FTE
Electrical Engineer LTI

The Contractor will support/deliver the following:

Engineering portal updates to ensure its kept up to date with the current plant status including the breakdown portal and single point vulnerabilities.
Development of Red Box and Red Files, building for critical spares, allowing the component to be readily available at the plant face. Ensuring the documentation and information is up to date, correct and signed off.
Frontline engineering services and integration into the Engineering Cells within Legacy Ponds.
Resolve major breakdowns and nuclear safety events within the Legacy Ponds efficiently and safely, ensuring down-time is minimised.
Source and specify spares in a timely manner to minimise downtime. This reduces costs and loss logging, updating obsolete items as required.
Proactively identify plant problems and co-ordinate appropriate corrective maintenance actions.
Support maintenance outages, ensuring they are delivered on time.
Review maintenance schedules and instructions so the maintenance activities can be carried out correctly.
Prepare, deliver and manage Plant Modification Proposals (PMPs), following the recognised formal process.
Offer SME advice and support across Legacy Ponds.
Deliver familiarization to craft on mechanical/electrical items to ensure the correct installation.
Work with PFDO to develop bespoke solutions to major breakdowns and plant improvements.
Monitor and evaluate plant performance, e.g. through observation, review of work logs, trending, histories and regular walk downs to maintain awareness of current condition, performance, and environmental impacts.
Develop tooling and equipment to aid the operators and maintenance personnel in carrying out tasks.
Work with the reliability engineers to identify issues with systems and components, engaging with specialists and manufacturers to initiate appropriate corrective actions to achieve short- and long-term resolution.
