Norwich City Council (the administering authority is seeking to appoint a supplier with the relevant experience, competency and capacity to deliver the domestic abuse outreach service.
The Domestic Abuse Outreach service is intended to provide adults, children and young people in Norwich who are currently in an abusive relationship with the necessary advice and support to help them to live more safely in the most appropriate place for them.
This service is provided to residents living in the district of Norwich, including Norwich City Council tenants.
The main focus of this specialist service is to prevent the crisis of homelessness through advice and support. It also aims to empower clients to live independently and keep themselves and their children safe. The current provider supports a minimum of 50 clients on an ongoing basis over a 12 month period.
This service will provide the Council with the means of achieving its objectives in tackling homelessness in the city and our strategic aims and objectives contained within the Greater Norwich homelessness strategy. It will also contribute to the strategic aims of the countywide domestic abuse and sexual violence board.
The contract award will be for a period of up to 5 years from 1 April 2016. The contract will be subject to a review after each year and at its sole discretion, Norwich City Council will have the option to terminate this contract at any time by giving 6 months’ written notice to the Contractor, without affecting any other right or remedy available to it.
