Tenders are invited by Kirklees Council (the Council) from Organisations with relevant experience and ability to demonstrate sufficient capacity for The Delivery of a Rugby League World Cup Legacy Dance Project. The contract is to commence in January 2015 and is anticipated to conclude by January 2017.
The overall aim is to develop and deliver a comprehensive dance programme, aligned to rugby league activity, aimed at young people, which secures a lasting legacy from the Rugby League World Cup.
The programme should be engaging and inclusive, working with both boys and girls to encourage them to become more active more often.
The programme should work in close partnership with existing rugby league deliverers and also Council officers to ensure consistency of message, a co-ordinated approach and to signpost people in need of more specific intervention to the relevant Council led support programmes, such as START.
