Swindon Borough Council is a small unity authority with a retained Housing stock of 10,500 homes and 400 corporate buildings, some of these buildings are serviced by a passenger lift.
Currently our Passenger lifts are serviced by Express Lifts alliance. This contract is due to expire on 31st March 2015, this contract did incorporate Leisure buildings, but these are no longer under Swindon Borough Council management.
The current contract is a mixture of comprehensive, intermediate and basic service level agreements, depending on building use and opening hours and are managed by the Building Services Team
Swindon Borough Council, property maintance provide support to areas of the councillor and its partners, these include Housing, corporate buildings, SEQOL, community run buildings and facilities Management.
Swindon Borough Council currently has 77 passenger lifts over 51 buildings, all within the Borough of Swindon.
Swindon Borough Council completes approximately 18 Million pounds of improvements annually to its housing and corporate buildings.
