description
The London Borough of Merton is looking to procure a Hosted In-cab (or in Vehicle) Tracking Software System for StreetScene and Waste to optimise the utilisation of the fleet and manage maintenance requirements.
It is expected that this will incur IT hardware and software within the waste collection vehicle which supports the communication of information between the vehicle and remote locations (e.g. depots and reception facilities). Hardware is to be procured separately.
The Service Provider will be responsible all of the following but not limited to the system build, hosting the new system and disaster recovery backup, migrating our data/processes/systems from the existing system, facilitating end user acceptance testing and user training.
This is a new requirement as no tracking system is currently in place though Contractors should note the Authority is also looking to procure a new Hosted Infrastructure Asset Management System.
