description

Kirklees Council (the Council) is conducting this Indicative Tender exercise in accordance with the Open Procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 and intends to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Transport Services (the Services) on a non-exclusive basis to meet its own organisational and business needs with suitably qualified Operators of Private Hire, Hackney Carriage and PSV Vehicles. The DPS is anticipated to commence on 1st July 2014 for a period of two (2) years with an option for the Council to extend for a further period or periods of up to two (2) years and the Services are anticipated to commence on 1st September 2014.

The Council is responsible for arranging home to school transport to schools and colleges for Children with special education needs (SEN), making over 400,000 journeys yearly. In addition, the Council also arranges transport for Adults to attend local day centres.

This first Indicative Tender must be submitted by 6.00pm on 25th June2014 and must include all supporting documents as required by the Indicative Tender Documents. It is stressed that an Indicative Tender submission cannot be received after this time and date and will not be evaluated on this occasion. However this does not exclude you from the tender process as you may submit your Indicative Tender at any time after this initial deadline, for future evaluation (usually within 1 week of submission) and inclusion on the Dynamic Purchasing System.

Operators who have already been awarded a place on this DPS (Dynamic Purchasing System) do not need to resubmit the Indicative Invitation to Tender.
