Void and Property House Clearances and Cleaning Service

Richmondshire District covers 509 square miles and is actually larger than four English counties, but within its boundary live only 51,400 people (2007 estimate). Richmondshire is therefore one of the most sparsely populated District Councils in the country, its boundaries stretching from the River Tees to Cumbria. The area is predominantly rural in character and a large part is situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Richmondshire District Council wishes to tender for the Provision of Void and Property House Clearance and Cleaning provider for the Council's housing stock. The requirement is to appoint a supplier who is able to support, when required, the in house repairs and maintenance team in the delivery of the service.

We require a provider who will be sufficiently qualified to provide a complete Void and Property House Clearing Service to council owned dwelling properties on behalf of Richmondshire District Council as detailed within the tender specification document.

As part of this tender, RDC are also looking for a supplier who can fully comply with the Environmental and Legal requirements for the services contained within the specification, ensuring they will provide a written health and safety policy document detailing training records for each individual and provide the appropriate level of customer service and management support.

The housing stock (1620 dwellings) range in terms of types and standards. Tenderers should note that not all of the Council's housing stock are located within the central Richmond area. Richmond District is a rural area therefore road network limitations can present significant access problems and travel times.
