48012 TERM SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND PERIODIC INSPECTION OF LOCAL EXHAUST VENTILATION AND AIR HANDLING SYSTEMS

Maintenance and periodic inspection of Local Exhaust Ventilation and Air Handling Systems. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council owns or controls 197 Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems, 211 Kitchen Ventilation Systems,157 Air Handling Systems, 13 Electric Immersion Steam Humidifiers and 1 Gas Fired Dehumidifier throughout the County.

The contract will cover the maintenance and periodic inspection of Local Exhaust Ventilation, Kitchen Ventilation and Air Handling Systems, in properties controlled by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, in compliance with the Section 2 of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1999 (COSHH) and the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER 98) (S1 1998 No. 2306). The work will include a comprehensive maintenance program and the provision of a 24/7 call out service for emergency response to attend at any applicable location in the East Riding of Yorkshire within the prescribed times. Working restrictions will apply. The Contract will be for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend to a maximum of 5 years in annual increments. The estimated annual contract value is 293,000 GBP. Total Estimated Value exluding VAT : 1,465,000 GBP.
