Multi-Disciplinary Professional Services Capital Scheme Bronglais

Hywel Dda University Local Health Board (“HDUHB”) has awarded a contract for the provision of Multi-disciplinary professional services on a the SARC Capital Scheme in Aberystwyth. The Scheme will consist of the adaptation of a section of the ground and first floor in the existing building to form a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (“SARC”). The project will work with third-party organisations and Dyfed Powys Police to meet the needs of the service. HDUHB Property Team have worked on securing a lease for these sections of the building for this use. The HDUHB Design Team have also gained planning permission for the change in use class from offices to healthcare.The appointment of the Property Professionals for the project is a necessary requirement to aid the development of the technical design. This will ensure that the Health Board is in line with the industry’s standard as per the Royal Institute of British Architects (“RIBA”) Stage four (4). RIBA Stage four (4) means that the Health Board complete everything that needs to be done before construction starts.
